For those who are into so-called extreme sports such as motorcross, BMX, and surfing, the familiar black and white logo of Fox Sports is very familiar. For nearly 37 years, the family-owned business has been a staple in motorcross and similar sports, imprinting its brand on racing and swim wear. The logo has become a symbol for speed and success for athletes, and with the backing of Fox’s own racing team, it has dashed to the lead in the sports clothing field.

Fox Sports Logo

The logo of a fox head not only corresponds with the last name of the founder, Bob Fox. It also is an appropriate image for a company whose initial business was designing motorcross gear. The fox symbolizes quickness and cunning. The black and white logo is surprisingly simple. At it’s core, it’s a reverse triangle intersecting a wing-like crescent. The brush strokes are very thick and simple, making the logo instantly recognizable and easy to remember for the casual fan. However, it manages to convey both quickness and wisdom with the eyes that are slightly marked out in the brush strokes. This combination makes for a positive image of the company and of its products Fox Racing has managed to build a logo with instant recognition and a huge fan base.

Creation of Fox Sports Logo

But that is not all of what makes the logo so recognizable. Like many other sports equipment manufacturers, Fox has recognized that tying its logo to successful athletes will also improve its credibility and recognition. In 1977, Geoff Fox created Team Moto-Fox, an obvious play on the motorcross, and brought on board the top talent to go up against Japanese teams. Since its inception, the team has won over 40 national motorcross and supercross events. This recognition has allowed Fox to grow its logo and establish its brand as one worn by champions.

Expansion of the Fox Sports Logo

Since it first started as a strictly motorcross focused company, Fox Racing has expanded into other fields, such as swimming, surfing, and snowboarding. This expansion of the logo into other relatied fields has allowed them to grow on their primary base without losing that base. It’s expansion has also been helped by Fox Teams recruiting professional athletes in those fields and fielding a number of successful athletes, all sporting the prominent fox head logo on their gear. The Fox logo is now a familiar one at many sports equipment stores.

Fox Sports Logo Review Analysis

The Fox sports logo, like its namesake, has quickly swept the world of extreme sports. Starting out in Motorcross, the black-and-white fox has maintained a strong position in that field while expanding out into other areas where there may be cross-contact. This has allowed the brand to glow and maintain its recognition with new athletes, who have become some of its most ardent fans. Where Fox will go in the future is unclear. However, what is clear is that, whereever it goes, it will be sure to get there in a flash.
