The only “Zoom Zoom” that is there among the automobile manufacturers represent Mazda motors. As its tagline represents, the complete lineup of Mazda vehicles shows the emotion of motion. It stands for today, tomorrow and forever. The Zoom Zoom logo also feels just right with the caption. Like the quality and elegance of the vehicles, Mazda logo has the same worldwide recognition and acceptance. It does not boast a lot, but it justifiably comments on its stance that one will like it once he gets it.

History of Mazda Logos
Original Mazda Logo "M"

Mazda Motor Manufacturer

Mazda Moto Corporation is a public automotive company that manufactures automobiles. It is a Japanese automobile manufacturer whose head offices are located in Japan. The company was originally founded in 1920 by Jujiro Matsuda under the name of Toyo Cork Kogyo Co. Ltd. It changed its name twice and became “Mazda” in 1984. The vehicles that include Mazda cars, Mazda vans, Mazda coaches and buses are famous for their originality and reliability throughout the world. The company has invented vehicles with style and strength that is reflected in whole of its product line. Ford, another proud automobile manufacturer, owns 3.5% of the company’s ownership.

History of Mazda Logo

The history associated with Mazda logo is quite comprehensive. The first Mazda logo appeared in 1936 on its three wheeled truck. The emblem was stylized text “Mazda” written in black and slightly bold typeface. It gets renovated in the same year by giving the ‘M’ a three times duplication, looking like three mountains representing Hiroshima, each M for Mazda Motor Manufacturer. The alphabet was winged to reflect speed, motion and suppleness. The emblem changed again in 1959. It was still the letter M (small lettered), but encircled in bold and black style. The ‘m’ starts from the upper circumference of the circle and ends at its lower circumference. The logo appeared on Mazda R360 for the first time and remained in use until 1975.

From 1975 to 1991, the actual ‘logo’ disappeared but remained the stylized version of its name. The ‘m’ logo was used in some licenses till 1980s. Later, it was abandoned, and a blue square accompanied with brand’s name was seen on documents and charters. The name was printed as highly bold with the touch of black and green shades. In 1991, a new emblem was designed that pictured a sun and a flame that represents the passion and intense commitment of Mazda to the complete satisfaction of its customers, defining Mazda’s way. Next year, the logo was given a newer and smoother finish because the earlier logo resembles a lot like Renault’s logo. It was known as “Eternal flame logo” that truly stood for the brand’s craving for the road.

Present Mazda Logo

The present logo of Mazda is a revamp that was brought in use in 1997. The ‘M’ of Mazda is stylized and its start and end was stretched to give it some wings. The wings signify its future and Zoom Zoom that will fly over all other brands. The logo is also, at times, known as “Owl logo”.
